Disabling Guest Account

  • I am having SQL SERVER 2008 failover cluster and replication . Our security need me to disable the guest account for user connectivity in the system and user databases. Will doing this effect SQL Server Regular operation ?

  • Take a look at this: http://www.mssqltips.com/tip.asp?tip=1172

Has info on how to test if the account is in use and what to do about it. It's SQL 2000 and 2005, not 2008, but the 2005 data should pertain to 2008, if I'm not mistaken.
