Hi,
I am new to SSAS and would like to ask questions with regards to deployment and processing. I have a SSAS project having multiple cubes and dimensions that I knew that is perfectly working.
I edited one of the dimensions because of error of one of its attribute, I changed the name query of that dimension in the datasource view which I suspects the problem and tried to rebuild and deploy it but I got multiple errors notification with the project deployment.
My questions are
1. When I got those errors in deployment, did I already overwrite the working project deployed?
2. When you edit the namequery of one of your table in the datasouce view do you really need to deploy the whole project?
3. If the project have existing errors in other cubes, can i still fixed the problem or deploy and process one of my cube dimension which I am trying to resolve and process the its cube?
Thank you,
Jao

1. It depends if you told it to continue or not. You would have gotten a message along the lines of "There are errors. Would you like to continue?" How you answered determines if it got overwritten.
2. Yes. A change to any object requires that the entire project be deployed.
3. Sorry, but the way you've worded this question is confusing. Please try asking it a different way.

Hello RonKyle,
Seems I overwrite it. 🙁
My question 3 is
Can i still resolve the issue of one cube and its dimensions error without touching other errors of the project?
Much thanks,
Jao
