Difference between SQL2005 and SQL2008

    hi,

    what are the core difference between the SQL 2005 and 2008 releases . . ?? compression ?? reporting ??

    just a newbie on SQL, but i'm working on a overall overview for making a decision which we can use with SharePoint . . .

    I have a question related to this... Does the Read_File procedure operate the same in 2008 as it did in 2000? I'm having problems with a script that worked fine in 2000, but now ehas problems in 2008.
