Hi,
difficult, but I try to explain:
AlwaysOn Failover cluster instances
If a failover occurs, the instance did a failover
All objects are on the new instance, jobs, logins, etc.
AlwaysOn availability groups
If a failover occours, the databases did a failover
the admin had to take care, that all required objects, like logins, jobs are "replicated" to the new instance
Kind regards,
Andreas

There is Failover Cluster and Always On Availability Group.
In brief Availability group is a HADR solution for specific database and the databases can be read mode ,means you are using the resources of that server for Read purpose also can offload backup. When you do failover in Availability Group you do it for the databases involved in availability group , where as for FC you do for the whole instance and the resource of secondary is not used for Active\Passive setup .
