Hi - that's a wide range of things to think about. What are your main aims? Are you a developer in other languages also using SQL, a new SQL Developer looking for general advice, or someone with no previous experience switched into a DBA role looking for advice on what to do to keep SQL Server instances ticking over? Even narowing down to these areas, you will have to give more specific examples about what you need to know before we can help.
What exactly (or even generally~) are the key areas you need to address first?
I'm a DBA.
I'm not paid to solve problems. I'm paid to prevent them.
