Determining the column number in a matrix

    How can that be empty?

    You're using a matrix right??? So if you have something for the column grouping then you have something in the data!

    LOL! Yes, it's a matrix. I think I might have to give up on this, and just pivot the data in T-SQL and then just use a table with fixed columns, rather than a matrix.
