i have an installer of SQL Server 2008 that i downloaded from some site. How can i determine without installing whether its RC0 or RTM or whatever. There is no info about this on the source of downloading!
Thanks in advance!

What about the Dudettes?
Anyway, short of installing it & checking the version, I'm not sure what you could do.

If you right click on the installer, can you see the version?
My 2008 RTM setup.exe has this version = 2007.100.1600.22
As far as I know, RTM all come in ISO images
I know RC0 came as .EXE even (I installed quite a few from folders instead of ISO images)
Build 1442 is RC0
Build 1600 is RTM
