Determine License option in SQL 7

  • Could somebody tell me how I can tell which licensing model was used when setting up my SQL Server 7 server.  I have tried looking under Administrative tools/Licensing , but receive the Error - The license logging service is not running on [adserver.domain] or [adserver.domain] is inaccessible.

Has anybody seen this or is there a way to determine the licensing from within SQL Server itself

    Thanks

  • The License Logging Service may be disabled on the SQL Server's system or on the domain controller. However, the information isn't necessarily accurate. More here:

  • Thanks for that Brian, I must admit that I had found out where to enable the LLS, but uncharacteristically forgot to add something to this post when I had found it. Interesting note about the accuracy of the LLS info too cheers
