Detach a DB

  Hi All,

  I am working on SQL server 2000 and I want to detach a database.

  In this particular SQL server installation I am not able to detach any database as the option to detach database does not show up in the ALL TASKS in entriprise manager.

  Please help me how can i detach a database, may be some system stored procedure or how or to get the option available in entririze manager..

  research BOL "detaching database from server" or sp_detach_db.

  You may also want to make sure that the "active" part of EM is at the database level of the database you wish to detach

  What is your access (permission) level? Maybe that's the problem.
