  Hi,

  I'm using SQL server 2008 R2.

  Monthly a job creates new 'month' partitions. So this partitions are not in my BIDS project.

  Now I have created some 'usage based aggregations', and want to deloy them.

  My problem:

  When I deploy them with 'Retain partitions' the new aggregations are not deployed

  When I deploy them without 'Retain partitions' checked, my job-create partitions are gone.

  What is the best way to deploy the Aggregations, without losing my partitions?

  Solution from http://www.ssas-info.com:

  When you have BIDS helper installed, it's possible to deploy the aggregations only. There is a button in the partitions tab.

  However it's not possible to create a script to deploy only the aggregations.
