deploying a cube

    Hi

    what are my options for deploying a cube?

    is there an interface users can use to browse the cube as I can in BIDS?

    I know excel is an option but not quite as user friendly as the cube browser.

    I am new to ssas BTW and i am just looking at my options.

    other than excel and BIDS

    ive used Sharepoint performance point, not so bad

    also SSRS but thats like using BIDS essentially

    so if you looking to give users access then i'd go for excel and use powerpivot..

    i have only been using and adnimistering SSAS for 9months so pretty new to it myself though

    You might want to check Datamicron's Performa, but it's not free I guess.

    Excel is normally the choice for browsing a cube. It can normally do the same as the cube browser, and you can use slicers as well.

    Another option is to use Power View, but you'll have to install this CTP (and use SQL Server 2012).
