When performance is more important than the overhead incurred by the extra work of maintaining information in multiple areas.

Not private. Sorry for the confusion. But some people need encouragement to put in some effort finding answers rather than just ask open ended questions and expect others to do the work for them. I ask plenty of questions myself, but there are many people here with vast knowledge who never need help, give their time for others, yet get treated as if they are paid support. (Did I rant too much ?)
