Deleting own post ?

  • Is it possible to delete my own post here ? And how ?

    Thanks

  • There's a delete button above and to the right of the post. I know Steve had it disabled for a while, but I think he turned it back on.

    Testing delete button.

Edit: Just tested it. It asked for confirmation, I clicked Yes, but it didn't delete the post. So, nope, guess you can't currently.

  • I've been wondering about this. I tried to delete a post the other day where I posted the same answer a few milliseconds later and I did't want it to look like I was just restating the obvious.

  • i think if you create a brand new post, you can delete it , but if it's a reply to a post, instant-notification emails might have foreign keys to your reply-post, so you can't delete it anymore.
