Hi All
On my prod sql server 2008, I run log backup every 5 min, differential backup at every 8 hrs and fullback once at end of day. I keep backups on same servers(quite wrong thing to do, but I am not given any other space to put them). Now I am having spce issues on disc. Can I delete yesterdays log backups after the full backup is done, if i don't need a point in time recovery for yesterday? I mean I just want to keep data till full backup and any subsequent log backups. I was only concerned about breaking the log chain. But I think deleteting log backups after a full backup wont break the chain, right?

You can, but you're limiting your recovery options. If that latest full backup is damaged and not restorable, you'll have no alternate restore paths.
Personally I like to keep 2 full backups and all log backups since the earliest. Means I have more than one restore path available if I need to restore.

If you can keep 2 full backups you can delete all log backups older than your oldest full backup, since they are useless if you don't have the full backup that preceded them.
