Deleting content from Report Server using catalog

  Hi, I am migrating SSRS to a new server. Over the years the installation has become chaotic and disorganised and there is much content no longer used.

  I tried deleting content from the catalog table using a simple T-SQL delete statement however this got bounced due to constraints on the table.

  Is it possible to work-around these constraints? If so what would I need to do?

  The best way to work around that is to delete the unused content from the report server using Report Manager or programmatically using the web services methods. These methods would be supported. Deleting data from the catalog table is not supported.
