defragment sql volumes

  • just curious if anyone defragment san volumes. I have a system thats kicking up a lot of these warnings and wondering how one would tackle this.

  • Defragging disk on SAN's is really not neccessary due to the way disk/storage is allocated from the SAN to host.

    This type of error is either network related or SAN related. I doubt that this SAN related as you're using UNC paths for backup locations. Check with your SAN admin first, if they don't see anything check with the network admin next....
