Hi Boys and Girls,
Most of you must have noticed in SSRS 2005 that the default font is set to "Arial 10pt". This is pretty annoying as we never develop reports using "Arial" font so we have to manually change each and every items formatting. All of our reports are formatted as follows:
•Report Heading: Tahoma, 12pt, Bold, Underlined, Black
•Report Header and Footer Content: Tahoma, 8pt, Gray
•Content Headings: Tahoma, 9pt, Bold, Black
•Content: Tahoma, 9pt, Black
I have attempted to create a template. This works fine for constant items in the report such as the Report Header and Footer content and Report Heading textbox, but I cannot seem to figure out how to specify a default font format at the report level as in "Crystal Report". I.E. when a text box dragged to the body use "Tahoma 9pt".
Is there a way to change the default setting to use Tahoma 9pt rather than Arial 10pt?

you want to create your own template/style in report config file with the fonts/colors you desired.
you noticed when you create a report using the Report Wizard, it lets you pick the style from the list. when you write your own style, and name it, let's say "MyCoolCustomStyle", it'll be there with you build your report. i would back up the config file first 🙂 before adding my own style. it should work 🙂
