Dear,
I installed three instances of SQL SERVER 2008 R2 on my test server. One is default instance stored in C drive and another twos are named instance stored in D drive.
If I replica from default instance to another server, it works fine until I shut down the test server. After that when I start test server and try to login in default instance, I can not access. An error message is generated like "A network-related or instance-specific error..."
This problem is occurred for Database Engine and Reporting Services.
To resolve it, I repaired the default instance and tried to log in then it worked. But every time I face the same problem when I shutdown the test server. I need a permanent solution.
Please help me to get rid of this stack.
Regards,
Akbar

Hi,
If you have several instances running on one machine ensure that your SQL Browser Service is running, if it's not then this may be your problem.
Thanks,
Simon
