Default instance

    Hi all,

    I have got some 50 registered servers which appear in the SSMS's object explorer when I start SSMS. I would rather have one of the registered servers as a default connection instance. Is there a method to define an instance of default connection when SSMS starts?

    Using command line options you can specify a server to connect to on startup - but this only opens a query window. The object explorer remains blank and you have to manually connect to use it. No way to set default that I know of -- I've been wanting this for some time.
