We are based in Milwaukee, WI.
The successful applicant will have proven skills in administering Azure-based Microsoft SQL Server systems, experience of working in an e-Commerce environment, and preferably an active interest in music to suit the specific role. This is a great opportunity for an able and personable DBA to develop their skills and take on responsibilities at a growing company backed by the world’s leading music publishers.
Reporting to the CTO, the role will involve a range of DBA tasks, including managing cloud-based environment, query performance analysis, server health monitoring, writing standardised reports for use throughout the company and writing bespoke reports on an ad-hoc basis. The role will result in taking on responsibility for mission-critical systems requiring high availability and maximum performance in a fast-moving industry.
Essential Skills
Experienced Microsoft SQL Server 2008+ Administration including:
Knowledge and experience of SQL Server Analysis Services
Knowledge and experience of SQL Server Reporting Services
Knowledge and experience of SQL Server Integration Services
Excellent T-SQL skills and query analysis skills
Ability to translate non-technical requests into technical solutions
Excellent problem-solving ability
Ability to work on own initiative and to prioritize sensibly
A willingness to expand and develop technical skills on an ongoing basis, keeping in touch with current industry trends and changes in technology
Desirable Skills
Experience with cloud-based database solutions
Experience with CI software such as TeamCity or Jenkins/Hudson
Powershell and MSBuild scripting
Git
Knowledge and experience of C# .NET and Microsoft Visual Studio
