My company has asked me to give them a job description for the DBA Position that I currently hold. I was wondering if any of you could provide me with a detailed description of what should be included.
Thanks in Advance...

Well, I don't think anyone here can provide your job description. Take a look at what you know you are responsible for. Also, look at all the things you do on a regular basis i.e. system support, development, fixing toasters, etc and sit down with your supervisor and come up with a job description. There is no boilerplate DBA job descriptor for MS-SQL DBA's anymore.

I have found this web site very helpful and I think it will help you also.

I think if you read through all of the job titles, you will find some descriptions of the tasks that you do everyday. I would also include the years of experience and education necessary for your position because your HR department will love that !
