  • Glad to see things are back to normal and everyone is complimenting one another...

(Ninja was semi-explained on another post, but I do not remember the thread.  It may or may not be the genuine RGR'us...)

    I wasn't born stupid - I had to study.

  • Try finding another poster with 7K posts to his count.  There are only 2 more on this site.  As for the ninja part it was decided in PM with me and Jeff, but here's his second explaination :

The common meaning of "Ninja" is that above a black belt in whatever art is being practiced. In truth, Ninja's were professional assassins who were very good at what they did. I prefer the definition of "shinobi" which is the art of "to do so as not to be perceived by others".

Overall, the connotation pf "Ninja" is that of an expert that cannot be touched by others' comparatively miniscule knowledge of a given art.

  • Okay Farrell - that last post settles it - this guy is definitely not remi...the remi gregoire we know is extremely modest and would never toot his own horn...this Ninja person's a mere "poseur"..

**ASCII stupid question, get a stupid ANSI !!!**

  • I'm still modest.  Saying that I have 7K + posts is not showing off when it's actually true and in front of the whole world to see !!!

  • Well, he is fiesty like the ol' RGR'us....  I dunno.  Maybe too much time on the keyboard has affected his brain...  Or maybe its a clone and they made an error in some segements of the DNA...

    I wasn't born stupid - I had to study.

  • Try not enough time .

  • well he may be fiesty but I think he's feisty as well...

    Sorry - it's friday fiesta..

too much time or not enough, at least he hasn't denied that his brain is affected...maybe he is remi after all..

**ASCII stupid question, get a stupid ANSI !!!**

  • You may think you are right.  But I also think I am so that makes me normally affected I guess.

  • I have no idea what this means?  Do you understand, "Fiesty Sushila"?

    I wasn't born stupid - I had to study.

  • I must confess I don't either...

The only thing that I did "get" was that he IS affected!

I tried to make sense of it and then just locked it up in my vault of "incomprehensible remi-isms" It's a huge vault but you'd be suprised how full it's getting!!!

**ASCII stupid question, get a stupid ANSI !!!**

  • Also, you said "I cannot put 'DBA' in my resume and so I can never apply for DBA job".  Never is a strong word.  Even if you could not put DBA on your resume (and I agree with everyone else that you should) what would stop you from applying for DBA positions?  The only never that I can see is that you'll never get a DBA position that you don't apply for!

  • That was the whole point .  So that makes me right and sain again. .

  • Again, Sushila, I think your vault may getting too big!

Is the clone sayin' it's sane?  Or is this some religious connotation?

    Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary

    sain

    One entry found for sain.

    Main Entry: sain

    Pronunciation: 'sAn

    Function: transitive verb

Etymology: Middle English, from Old English segnian, from Late Latin signare, from Latin, to mark -- more at SIGN

1 dialect British : to make the sign of the cross on (oneself)

    2 dialect British : BLESS

    I wasn't born stupid - I had to study.

  • I don't think the clone has a single religious bone in his body (just a hunch - not based on anything I've ever heard)....

I think he's saying that we're all blessed to have him amidst us...

  • No that would be Joe Celko .
