Hi everyone, is there a tool that i can give our business manager to view tables WITHOUT editing them.
Just a plain viewer tool.
Thanks

You can use access as a front end. With Access you can attach tables from other databases. You user can grant your user only select permissions and he will not be able to modify the data. One thing that I have to admit is that I didn’t do anything with Access for few years and that there might be a better tool for that.

I would recommend put together some reports instead (especially for Production) since Access can cause a lot of locking in the database while accessing the data.
Moreover, you don't want users to run adhoc selects on a Production box. Imagine a user executing a SELECT w/o a WHERE condition on a table with several million records.
Alternately you could use replication (transactional or snapshot) based on user requirements to dump the data to a reporting server and provide them access to that instead.
