DB Selection Combo is Opening Very Very Slow

    Hi,

    Suddently today the systems in the network has become very slow when some one try to change the db in the Query Analyzer  by selcting from the combo box. its taking 2-3 Minutes to open up. i fi use the command "use <dbName>" its happening quick. Does any one knows why this problem is coming ?

    Very strange

    Try running this:

    select name from master..sysdatabases

    and see how long it takes

    its coming quick.. thats how now every one getting the database list now.
