Hi,
I am using SQL Server 2000, a dba created a database with its own login
and now the dba windows login is removed.
But it still shows when we do sp_helpdb
Please advice.

Did you change the owner of the database before you dropped the login? Refer to the BOL for syntax for sp_changedbowner.
How did you drop/remove the login? Did you just remove it from the database or from SQL Server?

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Well the Windows login was removed.
And i still see the old user in the sp_helpdb not sure where it is getting the name from.
Couldn't find in the sysxlogins and syslogins table that user either.
Is there any hidden table.
One of the database still shows the db owner to be the one removed.
And the database is ok too.
Please advice.
I didnt change the owner yet.
Thanks,
Sam

Hi All,
Domain login was removed before changing the db ownership to some other account.
Please advice.
Thanks,
Sam
