DB Mirroring - Witness server at PROD or DR?

    Hi,

    What will be the best option for DBA to physically locate Witness server at PROD site or at DR site in Database mirroring ?

    You do not want the witness on the DR site, a loss of connectivity would leave the principal offline and the DR database acting as Principal. Next time they connect the Prod database would join the mirror session as the mirror database.

    Witness should ideally be on separate site, failing that, put it on same site as prod

    I'd run it on a seperate site completely or consider using manual failover to ensure your running on the right server
