Hello,
This morning when I check my backup....
and find out that my back up is failed with the message below:
in log file server says:
DB Maintenance backup fail with error message:
‘BackupMedium: ReportTo Error: write failure on back device.’\\dcutils01\xxxxxx’. Operating system error 64 (error not found)
but in my report txt says
" failed with the following error: "Write on "\\\\dcutils01\\MSCLBBackup\\NAVISION\\NAVbackup_200711112100.bak" failed: 64(error not found)
A nonrecoverable I/O error occurred on file "\\\\dcutils01\\MSNCLDBBackup\\NAVISION\\NAVbackup_200711112100.bak:" 64(error not found).
can you help me?
what should I do?
Thanks,
Susan

Hi,
It sounds like you are backing up to a networked drive/location, check to see if the mapped drive is still available if not re-map.
And see the following post http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic372154-357-1.aspx#bm372747

Ahmed

you are right.
last night the network was down. I think I will see what happen tonight.
the strange thing is that my schedule for re-organise index/rebuild index ( it supposed running at 2am on Sun) finish at 8am on Mon.
Thanks for your help.
I hope tonight all my backup and schedule runs normally again.
thanks,
Susan
