db loading\recovering

    We are recovering a huge DB 1.4 TB from the backup . Now the db on the enterprise manager is showing loading\recovering since a long time .

    when i do a select on  the sysdatabases then I see the status as 32 , status2 as 1090519040 and mode as 53.

    I understand that status 32 is loading , but what is mode 53 ? . Will the status change to 128 once the loading finishes ?

    The status will change.

    I sometimes just look at master..sysprocesses for the spid in question and check progress of IO/cpu to see that a connection is not just hung.  As long as these keep going up it's still going.  (repeat query and see the #s change)

    Thanks Mate . yes i can see io/cpu is changing so am sure its not hung.
