I need help. i have grown really tired of having to read my logs using enterprise manager, everytime, a job fails or when i need to know who deleted or added what to the databases in sqlserver. i need to have more control.
be able to tell whats going on in my databases, check on system resources, monitor query performances, changes in databases, manage my backups etc (WITHOUT HAVING TO USE ENTERPROSE MANAGER--IT SUCKS) or and i have an audit coming up soon and would really like to pass this year? i have a sql failover cluster, one instance of sql (but this may change in the future) . can anyone recommend any tools?? i am currently looking at ideratools but i would like to have more to choose from, and any input from dbas who are actually using these tools will be appreciatedf

Though I don't share your opinion of Enterprise Manager, I can recommend DBArtisan from Embarcadero.
