  Hello room,

  I create a simple package in BIDS.

  A Flat file --> Data Conversion --> OLE DB Destination

  The flat file has several columns that has data format as follow:

  -- Second Column date format 11/7/2008

  -- Fifth Column date format 8/14/2006 10:50:00 AM

  What kind of Date Data type should I assign to Second and Fifth column in my package?

  -database date [DT DBDATE]

  -database time [DT_DBTIME]

  -database time with precision [DT_DBTIME2]

  -database timestamp [DB_DBTIMESTAMP]

  -database timestamp with precision [DT_DBTIMESTAMP2]

  -database timestamp with timezone [DT_DBTIMESTAMPOFFSET]
