dataset fields are missing when dataset is created by stored procedures

    Hi SSRS Experts,

    I created a stored procedure MySP in BIDS, everything works fine, that MySP returns exactly 3 fields of data I want.

    Then I went to visual studio (SSRS), and then created a new dataset which points to MySP.

    Then I click on RUN (!), it returned 3 columns just like what I want.

    BUT, when I moved to LAYOUT and tried to drag-and-drop the dataset fields to layout, the 3 fields are missing!

    Nothing is under the dataset MySP [+] !!!

    How to solve the prob??

    Please help me out!!

    Hi,

    So, when you are in data tab of the designer window you could see the fields.

    Did you try refreshing the data set and then re-open it?

    that is it! I didn't press refresh!

    once I pressed it, everything works perfect! thanks
