Databases on different LUNS

    Would it make sense to separate 2 databases on different LUNS, considering one db to be highly transactional and the other more of a data warehouse type?

    If you can get them on different LUNS that are comprised of different and dedicated spindles, yes, do it that way.

    If you have the resources, you may also spread the data files of those databases on different LUNs to boost performance.
