I have this strange porblem, i am using SQL Server 2005, 2 of my databases are not accessible from the Management Studio, they are appearing in the "Databases" list, but they are not expandable (no + sign), when i saw the properties of one of those databases from the Right Click menu it gives me following error.
"Database 'IPMS' cannot be opened due to inaccessible files or insufficient memory or dist space"

I have/had this same problem. Take the database offline and back online again and you will see the + sign again. I'm still investigating why this happens. I will keep you posted on what I discover.

Thanks, but i have already solved the problem, well i took a different rout, i detached the database but it gave me an error that it is not available, but despite of this error i attached it using its data files, and it was succesfully attached(it means it was not available before).
Then there was this + sign and databases were normal.
