I have read somewhere that one of the SQL Server 2000 resource kits contains a spreadsheet called "Database sizer".
I don't have any resource kits, but would still like to get a copy of the "Database sizer" spreadsheet, if legal.

The short way to do this is to open Excel, put down your tables, the columns and sizes, then estimated row counts. Add some percentage for indexes based on the index columns.
I don't have the XLS, but the resource kit isn't that expensive and not sure you still won't have to do this work.
