Hi,
As per my Database Shrink is used to release unused space to OS,when is gone through the some blogs,it is written that database shrink can be used when unusual growth of data and log files.
How database shrink works when unusual growth of data and log file....could any body explain in detail?

More correct to say shrink should only be used if there has been unexpected growth of data or log (or a massive archiving operation) to get things back to normal after the cause of the unexpected growth has been addressed.
