Hi,
I'm having a bit of clean up on the security of our SQL Servers and I've come acrosss a number of users belonging to a role that I'm not familiar with, and cant seem to find any documentation from Microsoft one.
The roles in question all start with 'rl_' and so I wondered if it were something to do with some old replication we once had but do not anymore, or perhaps they are just custom ones somebody created previously.
I've attached a screen shot showing them. Also they dont seem to have any securables or owned schemas.
If you have any idea what they are then please let me know.
Thanks,
Nic

They aren't from any SQL Server replication - more likely user defined roles.

Hi Sue,
Thanks for the reply. It certain seems that to me as well.
I'll proceed on that basis and wait for anyone to complain on DEV before doing test and prod.
Thanks again,
Nic
