Ok can see that now. Is there any particular reason why you included NOUNLOAD, you're not restoring from tape are you
Have you tried taking a fresh backup of the source database and restore from that?

Did you try looking at the SQL Server logs? Try command xp_readerrorlog to see what it is doing.

I am having the same issue....will not restore. The backup is from SQL 2000 going to SQL Server 2008 R2. When I run sp_who2 is see that the database is in DB STARTUP.
