Database Restore from SQL2008 R2 to SQL2008

    Is it possible to backup a database in SQL2008R2 and restore it onto a server that only has SQL2008?

    And if this is not possible, can someone recommend a good way to script the database. Are there any tips and things to look out for?

    No, you can't restore a backup from SQL Server 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2008.

    You can use Copy Database to create SSIS packages to transfer the datbase from 2008R2 to 2008. Right click on the database, click on Tasks, click on Copy Database and use the wizard.
