Does anyone know of a SQL Server database recovery flowchart or decision tree?
I'm being asked to produce one with very little notice and am in hopes that something similar exists.
Many thanks for any help.

Recovery flow chart depend on the Backup / Restore strategy you have setup.
and also depend on the recovery model you have.
Let me first know what is the backup strategies you have ? As an example I am adding one small scenario:
Scenario1.
Recovery model FULL , helps in point in time recovery
Backup Plan
1) Full Backup on every Saturday 12 AM
2) Daily transaction log backup 11 PM
Recovery Plan
Lost data on Thursday 10:30 PM
1)Take a tail log backup
2)Restore the last FULL backup
3)Apply all the tlog with the tail log backup till the time you have lost the data till Thursday 10:29 PM.

in addition to above suggestion, have familiar with redo and undo process which is part of restoration.
