Database Mirroring failed after domain Migration

  • Hi,

    After domain migration all mirroing connection is disconnected, how can i recover this i found windows event log

    "Database mirroring connection error 2 'DNS lookup failed with error: '11001(No such host is known.)'.' for 'TCP://hostname.domain.LOCAL:5023'."

    Its urgent kindly help me on this.

    It would have been better to break the mirror and recreate it. Have you updated the sql server services to use accounts from the new domain?

    These accounts will need connect permission on the mirror endpoints, also the machine FQDNs will need to be changed. Easiest way would be to drop and recreate the endpoints.

  • When you say domain migration, what are you referring to .. Also check if SQL Server has been disconnected with the domain ..
