Setting up database mirroring and I'm getting the following error below.
The server network address cannot be reached
I'm trying to see if ports 1430 and ports 1440 are enabled in the firewall but not sure how to go about this. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you tried that and definitely let me know if both instances were listening on port 5022.
Can use the same port because on different boxes.

Just out of interest,what is the impact of using different ports on different boxes?What difference does it make?

There has not been an impact with the above port configuration.
