Database Mirroring Availability for production

    Does anyone know if Microsoft plans on making Database Mirroring a fully supported feature of sql 2005 or if they are planning on requiring you to have software assurance in order to get it?

    Also, has microsoft put out any word on how long they expect it to be before they support this feature?

    Robbie,

    It will be supported as the official release of service pack 1.  There is a  CTP of SP1 out that supports mirroring.  I can't remember what the timeframe that has been said for the official release of SP1.  I would suspect in the next couple of months.

    Timeframe is this month, though feedback from SP1 could change that.
