Question,
Does anyone know how to mirror asynchronously (SAFETY=OFF), with the prinipal server being standard edition and the mirror being enterprise?
I've been able to go from enterprise to standard, but not the other way arround.

Asynchronous is Enterprise-only, I'm surprised that you got it working as much as you did - useful to know though.

The more I read about it, the more I'm suprised it works too.
That's a bit annoying. It will probably be cheaper to use DoubleTake than Mirroring, which does roughly the same thing.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone have any experiance mirroring (with or without high safety) across a WAN? We've got servers all over the country that we were considering mirroring to a central corporate location. Not sure how well it will work with the slow/limited bandwidth connections to some of our remote offices.
