  Hello,

  We're trying to configure the new Database Mail feature in SQL 2005.  We added the email address associated with our SQL Service account and then put in our Exchange 2003 server for the smtp server.  When we send a "Test Message", I receive the following error in the database mail log:

  The mail could not be sent to the recipients because of the mail server failure. (Sending Mail using Account 2 (2006-01-24T09:44:56). Exception Message: Cannot send mails to mail server. (Failure sending mail.).

  Has anyone seen this before?

  Check to see if that DB server has rights to relay to the exchange server.
