I've inherited a system and some of the DBA rolls (which I'm not good at at all). I've been asked to find out why the notifications aren't going out when job fails. I looked at the Notifications for a particular job and I see a name in there for a person that doesn't work here anymore. How to I change the names in the drop down? I tried going to the Database Mail setup and didn't see anything.

You'll want to either add a new operator (right below alerts) or modify the existing operator. Can I recommend putting an email group in so next time this happens (or if the role expands) you can make the change in one central place?

+1 on Email distribution groups, much easier then having to keep changing operators all the time.
