Hi All,
What is the port number for Exchange Server to configure database mail?
How can I find the port number?
Please advise.
Thanks and Regards,
Ravi.

as Database mail uses SMTP the default is port 25, but your exchange admins can change it so you are best speaking to them

If you have configured Outlook client in the PC for that account, you can check Outlook settings.

windows firewall configured correctly?
corporate firewall configured correctly?
any antivirus disabled from blocking massmail worms and the dbmail executable?
server been granted the right to send mails via SMTP?
authentication issues resolved for logging into SMTP?
checked that port 587 is the right port for SMTP with your exchange admins?
can SQL ping the mail server?
do you need to fully qualify the domain for the mail server?

speak to your exchange admins and ask them to add in the ip address of the server into the mail relay configuration, it needs to go into two places in SMTP relay, think its allow to connect and allow to send
