  hi, could anyone tell me how to configure or what services have to to be configured to have the database mail available in DB ?

  Though I hate SQL Mail - that is setting up profiles and outlook.  Its supposed to be a lot better in SQL 2005 as it uses SMTP.

  Currently for my needs I bypass SQL Mail and can get most of my tasks done using blat or wsendmail with my SMTP server.
