database (in recovery) , what is the normal cause

  recently my databases in SQL2005 sometimes suddenly try to recovery (i.e. database (in recovery) .

  may someone kindly teach what is the normal cause ?

  how to further check the reason behind ?

  Recovery normally runs when a database is first started or opened. Have you checked the error log (SQL error log) for entries?
