This is my scenario,
when we r creating the database of 1GB OR LESS in a production environment , how can we decide the growth of the database , by selecting the options restricted or unlimited growth .

That is a personal choice and depends on the type of application/process that will be populating the database. if you are pre-sizing the database, then you should know the growth of the database before hand. some people suggest that you have it unlimited for various reasons. very much a moving target until you have history.
