Dear All,
Every time if I truncate the log with truncate_only option and I will do Full database backup. But whenever I'm doing this my full backup size is double the size of previous full backup.
Eg: Daily Full backup DB size : 400MB
After log truncate the Full backup DB size has incread to around 820MB.
Please Help.

Are you appending your backup to an existing backup file ? I like to have separate files for eeach backup.

Why are you truncating the log? There is no good reason to do that regularly.

The transaction log has taken all disk space, to recover the space, i tried dbcc shrink log file option, but nothing happens, hence i backup the log with truncate option and I did the database full backup, while doing so i obsesrverd that the backup size was twice than my previous backup

Did you bother to investigate the cause of the large log before taking what were possibly useless steps?

Here are two little articles that can help you throwing some light on your log "problem".
http://www.sqlservercentral.com/articles/64582/
http://www.sqlservercentral.com/articles/Transaction+Log/72488/
If you still want to proceed with your current handling after reading these, you just didn't get the message.
In that case, same player shoot again, start with article 1.
